Can LCSW work be done remotely?
Partly. For Licensed Clinical Social Worker roles, the parts that travel well to telehealth are supervision, caregiver and family training, treatment planning, documentation and case review. Hands-on assessment, overlaps and crisis work usually stay in person, so most LCSW roles advertised as remote are hybrid. You still need a license valid in the state where the client sits, not where you sit. Advertised range for LCSW roles is $62k – $95k, and fully remote roles usually price at the lower end of it.
