Can PMHNP work be done remotely?
Partly. For Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner roles, the parts that travel well to telehealth are supervision, caregiver and family training, treatment planning, documentation and case review. Hands-on assessment, overlaps and crisis work usually stay in person, so most PMHNP roles advertised as remote are hybrid. You still need a license valid in the state where the client sits, not where you sit. Advertised range for PMHNP roles is $125k – $175k, and fully remote roles usually price at the lower end of it.
