What do SLPA jobs pay, and where are they?

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) roles in the US are advertised at roughly $25/hr – $40/hr, with entry roles near $25/hr and senior or supervisory roles near $40/hr. Rising sharply as districts and clinics restructure caseloads around a supervising SLP with SLPA delivery. SLPA work is delivered in person, so location and drive time matter more than for most clinical roles.

    SLPA pay by state

What a SLPA offer is worth depends on licensure, setting mix and cost of living as much as the headline number.

    SLPA questions we get asked

Do SLPA requirements differ by state?
Considerably. Some states license SLPAs, some register them, and supervision ratios differ. Check the state board before you accept a role across state lines.
